SUMEC Convened the 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference
On July 16, SUMEC held its 2026 Mid-Year Work Conference. The conference warmly celebrated the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, fully implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly carried out the work requirements of SINOMACH, reviewed and analyzed the performance in the first half of the year, assessed the current situation, clarified annual targets and key tasks for the second half of the year, and strove to secure a high-quality start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Yang Yongqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SUMEC, delivered a speech titled Face Transformations, Forge Resilience, Forge Ahead Amid Tides, and Secure a High-Quality Start to the 15th Five-Year Plan.
He noted that confronted with difficulties, challenges and uncertainties in the first half of 2026, under the strong leadership of SINOMACH, all SUMEC staff followed the work guideline of Ride Winds and Tides, Consolidate Foundations and Explore New Frontiers, Improve Quality and Efficiency, focused on the priorities of Seven Commitments and Seven New Advances, and steadily pushed forward all work. Through united efforts and dauntless pursuit of victory, the Group achieved operating revenue of RMB 66.42 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.7%; total profit of RMB 2.451 billion, up 11.8% year on year; and total import and export volume of USD 6.95 billion, representing a 13.1% year-on-year rise, laying a solid foundation for fulfilling the full-year targets and tasks.
