SUMEC-ITC Makes Debut at ACETECH India Building Materials Exhibition

    December 11, 2025

On December 7th, ACETECH India Building Materials Exhibition concluded successfully at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. The team from the First Building Materials Export Division of SUMEC-ITC showcased targeted products including plywood, wall panels, wall stickers, and PVC flooring at the event, engaging in in-depth discussions with Indian purchasers on the innovation trends of the South Asian building materials industry and exploring new opportunities for win-win cooperation.

India’s local building materials manufacturing industry is still constrained by technological limitations, with insufficient supply capacity in the field of high-end building materials and specialty products. The market has long relied on imported resources to fill the gap. Notably, green and low-carbon development has become the core mainstream of the industry. Driven by both policy guidance and market demand, the market penetration rate of environment-friendly and resource-recyclable building materials is steadily increasing. Currently, the combined effect of the upgrading demand in India’s building materials market and the local supply gap has created favorable opportunities for foreign building materials enterprises to deepen regional cooperation and expand market share.

At the exhibition site, the sales team of SUMEC-ITC was busy yet organized, warmly receiving panel purchasers from key Indian cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Hyderabad. Through in-depth exchanges, the team discovered that while demand in India’s building materials market is extremely strong, purchasers face particularly prominent challenges: most projects are constrained by tight budgets, yet the prices of international brand building materials remain high; although local products are affordable, their quality is inconsistent and difficult to trust. Addressing these core pain points, the cost-effective panels brought by the sales team have not only obtained local Indian environmental certifications but also possess significant price advantages. Core products can achieve short-cycle delivery from order placement to arrival at major Indian ports, accurately matching the construction rhythm of projects. These products and services that highly align with market demands successfully impressed purchasers, leading to multiple intentional cooperation agreements on the spot and enabling the team to achieve exhibition results exceeding expectations.

Looking ahead, SUMEC-ITC will closely monitor developments in the Indian market and integrate deeply into it, keeping pace with trends such as environmental protection and personalization, while continuously optimizing its product structure and enhancing core competitiveness. Meanwhile, the company will further increase investment in the Indian and South Asian building materials markets, contributing to the construction of green and high-quality architectural spaces across Asia.
