Shen Ruihong, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy General Manager of SINOMACH Party Committee, Inspects SUMEC

Yang Yongqing, Party Secretary and Chairman of SUMEC, reported on the company’s work achievements in the first half of the year and the 15th Five‑Year strategic plan. He noted that SUMEC has earnestly implemented the decisions and arrangements of SINOMACH, and advanced key initiatives centering on “Three Optimizations”, “Three Major Priorities” and “Three Core Tasks”, delivering solid business results. For the 15th Five‑Year Plan period, SUMEC will fully implement SINOMACH’s development strategy, faithfully fulfill its mission as “the Group’s primary platform for international operations and global outreach, and a key supporting force for exporting Chinese equipment and Chinese brands as well as safeguarding supply‑chain security”. The company will strive to strengthen its core functions and core competitiveness, and make due contributions to the Group’s endeavor to build a world‑class enterprise. Wang Jian, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, together with other members of the management team, provided supplementary briefings. Hu Haijing, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, reported on the transformation and development of SUMEC‑ITC.

Shen Ruihong commended SUMEC’s operational achievements and its development blueprint for the 15th Five‑Year Plan. He remarked that SUMEC boasts a sound development foundation, systematic strategic planning and clear business philosophy. He put forward three requirements for future work. First, firmly advance the implementation of the 15th Five‑Year Plan. Focus on positioning as the core platform for Chinese equipment to “go global” and leverage digital empowerment. Centering on the “Three‑fold Growth” goals, define concrete measures for the equipment business, accelerate training and roll‑out of intelligent agent applications, achieve parallel improvement in management efficiency and digital maturity, and foster new drivers of growth. Second, build a robust scientific and technological innovation platform to boost R&D support and recognition from capital markets. Give full play to the Institute of Association for Science and Technology, deepen cooperation with universities, chambers of commerce and industry associations, and scale up R&D investment to underpin transformation and upgrading during the 15th Five‑Year period. Third, further consolidate talent and compliance foundations to sustain sound and long‑term corporate development. Step up recruitment and development of high‑caliber professionals and optimize talent echelons. Strictly observe compliance red lines for trade operations, resolutely eliminate sham transactions, enforce integrity‑based professional conduct and workplace safety protocols, embed compliance across all processes, and underpin high‑quality development with high‑level security.

During the special inspection of SUMEC‑ITC, Shen Ruihong emphasized that SUMEC should capitalize on China’s competitive industrial strengths and premium products, proactively plan overseas market layout, deepen internal collaboration with peer subsidiaries within SINOMACH, and create synergy for global outreach. Compliance shall be regarded as a core competitive edge; platform capabilities shall be strengthened and brand building continuously advanced. Efforts shall be made to reinforce leadership‑team building and fully galvanize workforce vitality, so as to provide solid organizational guarantees for development in the 15th Five‑Year Plan period.

In the course of the visit, Shen Ruihong attended the vessel hand‑over ceremony between SUMEC Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Bohai Ocean Shipping, witnessing the naming and delivery of NDY1322, a Crown 63 Version 3.0 bulk carrier. Yang Yongqing and He Jun, Member of the SUMEC Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, participated in the event.
